Celtics Rally Past Pacers for Dramatic Game 1 Win

Tatum and Brown Lead Boston's Comeback

Boston Celtics 133, Indiana Pacers 128 (OT)

In a thrilling start to the 2024 Eastern Conference finals, the Boston Celtics outlasted the Indiana Pacers 133-128 in Game 1 on Tuesday. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 36 points, including 10 in overtime, while Jaylen Brown hit a clutch 3-pointer with 61 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime.

The Celtics trailed for much of the game, but rallied down the stretch thanks to the heroics of Tatum and Brown. With the game tied at 123-123, Brown drained a 3-pointer off an assist from Marcus Smart to give Boston a 126-123 lead. The Pacers responded with a bucket from Myles Turner, but Tatum answered back with a dunk to put the Celtics up 128-125.

The Pacers had a chance to tie the game again, but Tyrese Haliburtons potential game-tying 3-pointer was blocked by Al Horford with just seconds remaining. Tatum secured the win for the Celtics with a pair of free throws in the final seconds of overtime.
