Jacob Tremblay has been cast as Flounder in Disney'sp upcoming live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid." The young actor will join Halle Bailey, who was previously announced as Ariel.

Tremblay is best known for his roles in the Oscar-winning film "Room" and the drama "Wonder." He has also appeared in films such as "Before I Wake," "The Book of Henry," and "Good Boys."

Flounder is Ariel's best friend and a loyal companion. He is a small, yellow fish with a big heart. In the original 1989 animated film, Flounder was voiced by Jason Marin.

The live-action "The Little Mermaid" is directed by Rob Marshall and is set to be released in theaters on May 26, 2023.
